Dr. Paul Coleman is an award-winning author and nationally known psychologist in private practice with thirty years of experience. He has written thirteen books with traditional publishers including his latest award-winning book “FINDING PEACE WHEN YOUR HEART IS IN PIECES” (Adams Media, November 2014) for which he was awarded the 2015 Gold Award from the Nonfiction Authors Association.
He has appeared on national television shows such as Oprah, Today, Geraldo, The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet, Good Day New York, as well as dozens of radio programs across the country including NPR and mega-stations WABC and WOR in New York. He has been quoted in numerous popular magazines such as TIME, Cosmopolitan, Redbook, Spirituality & Health, Real Simple, Reader’s Digest, First for Women, and several others.
Dr. Coleman is a motivational speaker and has been invited to conferences such as “The Third Annual Afterlife Awareness Conference” (St. Louis, 2013) and “Transform” (Portland, ME; 2013, 2014). He also speaks at local and regional venues.
Dr. Coleman is an expert in the treatment of PTSD, Anxiety Disorders, Grief, and Couples Therapy. He takes a particular interest in helping people discover meaning and purpose to their lives after a major loss or upheaval.
He is also a playwright. His first play “The Foot Shooters” was independently produced Off-Off Broadway in 2011. When he has some free time, he enjoys being an actor in local community theaters.
Dr. Coleman is a member of the American Psychological Association and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He is also a member of The Dramatists Guild.
He is happily married for over thirty years. He and his wife have three children.
