THANK YOU SO MUCH for inquiring about psychotherapy and other consulting services I offer.
I’m here to help!
I work only with adults (individuals and couples) but not children or teenagers. In addition to specializing in relationship and marital issues, I am also an expert in the treatment of Anxiety Disorders such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I also specialize in Grief Counseling and have written a book “Finding Peace When Your Heart Is in Pieces: A Step by Step Guide to the Other Side of Grief, Loss, and Pain.”
Relationship Therapy: Many couples who are motivated can make substantial improvements in their relationship using brief-therapy techniques. As the author of numerous books on marriage and relationships, I am uniquely qualified to assist couples in strengthening their relationships.
EMDR Therapy: EMDR is a revolutionary and highly regarded treatment for the resolution of traumatic memories. It is also a useful tool in the resolution of memories that are considered to be disturbing but not necessarily traumatic. Often, clients notice improvement in one to three sessions with EMDR.
Individual Therapy: This is useful for anybody wishing to make improvements in any number of areas such as overcoming depression, improving self-esteem, reducing fear or anger, and coping with grief and loss.
Grief Counseling: I also specialize in issues related to loss and grief. When appropriate, I am quite comfortable discussing spiritual issues. I have a particular interest in metaphysics and research about life after death and intuition. I amthe author of Finding Peace When Your Heart Is In Pieces: A Step By Step Guide to the Other Side of Grief, Loss, and Pain.
Since 2002 I have also worked and trained extensively as a medium which is an alternative way to help those grieving the loss of a loved one. Mediumship sessions are not covered by insurance and are conducted at limited times. Please contact me for more information. Video conferencing is also available for those unable to meet me in person.
Phone Consultations: Some people who do not live in close proximity to my office but have heard about me on radio or TV or magazines may wish to have telephone consultations. These consultations are not a form of treatment or psychotherapy but are an opportunity to ask questions and receive specific suggestions and feedback. Topics often include relationship concerns, questions related to information in his books, anxiety, grief, and intuitive development. Arrangements for a telephone consultation can be made in advance by contacting the office.
Fees: Most insurance accepted. Co-payments might be required. Please contact the office for a list of current fees if you are paying without insurance. Insurance is not used for phone consultations.
Hours: I have daytime and evening hours available as well as Saturday morning hours. Please contact the office at 845-297-6198
